CREW WORKING - NEW ART MIAMI

Director of Operations Rodrigo Ortiz and President Demetrio BilbatuaFilMiami welcomes the newest member of our high-end post production sector to Miami, New Art Miami, and its President Demetrio Bilbatua and Director of Operations Rodrigo Ortiz. New Art Digital, a longtime fixture in the audiovisual post production business in Mexico City, officially opened its doors here in March, 2009.  The move began about a year ago when they purchased the BVI/Manhattan Transfer facility in Coconut Grove.

According to Bilbatua, New Art Miami is a logical extension of the businesses the company operates in Mexico, where innovation has been the key to their success. Inspired by the re-born film industry in Mexico in the mid-‘90’s, and to address the economic challenges they faced, New Art Digital established specialty divisions to address the industry’s post production needs with teams of artists and comprehensive services to be able to offer a complete post production solution for their clients. That strategy has paid off, with now more than 50 feature films, five television series and 120 movie trailers, in addition to innumerable music videos and commercials, to the company’s credit.

At New Art Miami, Bilbatua wants to capture Latin and Central American feature film business to bring its post production to the Miami facility, as well as offer services to the Florida and U.S. based advertising, television and film industry. The facility offers clients New Art Edit, with an award winning team of creative editors and producers, and New Art VFX with visual effects, motion graphics and animation produced by a multi-talented team of artists, directors and producers. New Art has brought in several talented creatives to help make up the Miami team, and can also rely on its facility in Mexico for additional creative personnel when necessary.

The company has also invested heavily in the latest technology tools for their creative teams to use. Their color correction artists offer clients Florida’s only Spirit Telecines and Da Vinci 2K Plus color correctors as well as a state of the art non linear DI color grading suite. Editors work on Avid Adrenalines or program in the Autodesk Smoke suites. The facility offers state of the art sound with the latest Pro Tools audio suites and ADR rooms. New Art can offer its clients output to digital files, DVD and Blue Ray, video tape, or to high quality 16 or 35 mm film. They even have a 7500 sq .ft. studio with a hard cyc for clients who still need to shoot something before they begin to edit it.

New Art Miami promises to be an exciting new player in Miami’s film, television and commercial advertising post production business, and FilMiami is pleased to welcome them to the local production community.
