Lights, Camera, Summer Film Camp Florida Film Institute Summer Camp June 15th - July 23rd Apply before June 8! The camp will meet on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 10:00am to 1:00pm. There will be three field trips which will take place during the camp sessions (on selected Thursdays). |
G.A.M.E. (Game Animation Motion Expert) Summer Camp - Maya Certified User A fun interactive mini gaming camp! Students 13-17 will learn all the basics of the powerful, industry leading Maya application. Upon course completion students will have the option to take the Maya Certified User exam. Why not pursue a powerful credential over the summer? Certification at this level helps demonstrate a commitment to academic success and career development. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided. Students may bring lunch from home or have the option of purchasing a lunch package at $35 for the week. Pre-care available from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m., post-care from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Drop-off and pick-up at Room 401 between building 3 and 1 on the south side facing SW 7th Street. Animation Camp Get an introduction to character design and animation using Autodesk® Maya® , the application used by top video game development and film studios. Skills development will focus on the use of Autodesk ”Maya” and Adobe Photoshop. This class is project based; students will have the opportunity to complete a portfolio of their own animation. Pre-Requisite: Basic computer skills. Check in from 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. get acquainted with equipment, meet and greet. From 4:00 – 5:30 p.m.– students can stay on premises and work on labs while waiting for pick-up. Drop-off and Pick-Up at Building 8, first floor. Camp location: Wolfson Campus. 3D Gaming Design Camp Learn the premier 3D modeling, animation, effects, and rendering software packages on the market. Using the industry-standard, intuitive toolset featured in Autodesk® Maya® realistic 3D models will be created and prepare them for game play in a gaming engine. Mobile App Camp In this course students will learn how to build mobile apps for Android phones and tablets with MIT App Inventor. This course targets beginners. You will start your learning journey by setting up App Inventor and building progressively more complex apps in different domains. Along the way, students will learn programming concepts and terminologies. You will also learn how to publish your app on the web and/or the App Inventor gallery where your friends and family can download your app to their phones.
